Yigal Arnon & Co.'s Japan Practice Group is a dynamic group comprised of lawyers with a broad range of experience representing Israeli and international clients engaged in transactions with Japanese partners, and Japanese clients seeking to engage in business in Israel.

Israeli and Japanese relations and cooperation have been in the process of great expansion in recent years, as the economic ties between the countries have deepened in many different fields. The strengthening of the cooperation and relations between Israel and Japan received a boost in the form of visits of Israel’s prime minister to Japan and reciprocal visits of Japan’s prime minister to Israel. Such visits received much media attention and both of the visiting prime ministers brought with them many leading business managers, who showed much interest in broadening the existing commercial relations. In the backdrop of these events, and the growth of this business sector both for Israeli and Japanese businesses, we are primed to offer our services to both Israeli businesses looking to enter the Japanese market and to Japanese businesses looking to enter the Israeli market.

The firm's experience spans diverse industries – technology, biotechnology and pharmaceuticals, agrotech, real estate, infrastructure projects, software, medical devices, venture capital, M&A and investment transactions, banking, cybersecurity, fintech, defense and security.

Clients value Yigal Arnon & Co.’s practical and hands-on advice, coupled with deep legal understandings and sensitivities to the cross-cultural aspects of representing clients involved in Japan - Israel transactions.

The firm is a Premium Member of the Israel Japan Chamber of Commerce and through this activity is striving to further develop the commercial ties between Japan and Israel and to provide a support platform for businesses from both countries. We are in contact with both the Embassy of Japan and various branches of the Israeli government, in an effort to help facilitate trade between Israel and Japan. In this context, among other activities, we have provided input to the Israeli government in connection with a contemplated amendment to the tax treaty between the countries.
